The California Children and Families Act of 1998 (Prop 10)
was passed to provide all children prenatal to five years

CTC provides up-to-date information on Child Development
Permits as well as other California teaching credentials.

The California Early Childhood Mentor program was established
in 1988 and is the largest mentoring program for child care
professionals in the U.S. The program provides advanced
training for experienced child care workers who wish to
become mentors to new practitioners.

for after-school and school-age care professionals. Founded
in 1982, CalSAC is the nation's oldest and largest statewide

CCAC is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening
families, improving education, and advancing the well being
of children through advocacy for safe, affordable, good
quality child care for all American families.

The Child Care Law Center is a national nonprofit legal
services organization. Their primary objective is to use
legal tools to foster the development of high quality, affordable
child care -- for every child, every parent, every community.
CCLC works to expand child care options, particularly for
low income families, and to ensure that children are safe
and nurtured in care outside the home.

The Child Development Division (CDD) provides leadership
and support to individuals and organizations concerned with
children and families by promoting high-quality child development
programs. The CDD educates the general public about developmentally

Coleman Advocates works independently in San Francisco to

Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California is a non-profit anti-crime
organization led by California's leading sheriffs, police
chiefs, district attorneys and victims of violence. Based
on rigorous research evidence and years of crime-fighting
experience, it works with crime prevention scholars to develop
policy recommendations and to share its findings with policy-makers
and the public.

The Labor Project for Working Families advocates for family-friendly
policies in the workplace. They work with unions on collective
bargaining, legislation and public policies related to balancing

PACE is an independent policy research center whose primary

Parent Voices is a partnership of parents from San Francisco
Bay Area counties in California and is coordinated by the
California Resource and Referral Network. Parent Voices
combines leadership development, advocacy, and community
organizing in its efforts to increase funding, improve quality,

The Institute focuses on helping states, local communities,
and higher education institutions create early childhood/school-age
