Students Run In Blue

Nearly sixty-five runners participated in the “Run In Blue” 5K run that was organized by a dedicated group of Hult International Business School students to benefit United Way. In addition to providing Hult graduate students and local runners with a wonderful opportunity to take part in a scenic run along the San Francisco Marina, this event presented the participants with an excellent way to engage in United Way's mission to cut Bay Area poverty in half by 2020.

As the backbone behind the event, Hult organizers demonstrated their commitment to improving the community by joining our movement and volunteering to contribute all proceeds from Sunday's run to our effort to reduce Bay Area poverty. They also worked collaboratively with Sports Basement - who graciously donated space and food for the before-and-after event festivities. Lastly, also joining the team effort was Cliff Bar and Zicco who donated their products to the participants, lifting the day's excitement level. A special thank you deservedly goes to everyone who had a hand in helping to make this a fun memorable afternoon!

In sports, triumph often manifests itself when a team collectively “buys in” to a common goal and works together in pursuit of the established benchmark. That said, I was fortunate to have been part of this event and enjoyed witnessing the collective commitment exuded by Hult students, runners, Sports Basement, and sponsors - certainly a success, and a big win for the community!
