Community Schools
Many students in our toughest neighborhoods go to school hungry, sick, or not prepared. This results in poor academic progress. United Way invests in ‘community schools,’ bringing services such as health care, food pantries, after-school programs, and parent-education classes directly to children and their families. This has a positive impact on academic achievement, attendance rates, and parental participation. Learn more.
