United Way Bay Area is excited to invite corporate teams to join us in a Summer of Impact. Starting in July through September 2018, we will offer a curated set of three volunteer events for corporate teams. The United Way Bay Area team makes it easy for you – we will oversee all of the logistics and bring together your colleagues’ volunteer skill sets with the needs of the eight Bay Area counties we serve.
United Way Bay Area works with over 140 community partners across the Bay Area to support people in need. By partnering with United Way and our network of community partners, you can trust that your employee engagement activities will truly make an impact. Each year, we survey our member organizations to assess their challenges, organizational goals, and internal capacity to manage volunteers. We designed our Summer of Impact volunteer opportunities equipped with this knowledge.
We’ll supply everything you need to launch an office-wide supply drive, giving your team every opportunity to join the effort.
Date: June – August
Location: Your local corporate office
Join teams from across the Bay Area for a fun offsite packing day at our local United Way offices. We’ll pack and prep donations for use at local nonprofit organizations.
Date: August (dates, TBD)
Location: United Way office in San Francisco and San Jose
Assemble and pack donated items for nonprofit partners and individuals in need.
Date: We collaborate with you and our partners to schedule projects in August or September.
Location: We match your team to a volunteer opportunity with one of our 140 community partners.
You choose from a variety of hands-on volunteer outings; we’ll handle the rest. We draw from decades of relationship-building with our community partners to manage the project from start to finish.
