United Way Bay Area is celebrating a Century of Impact, United for Equity as we mark the launch of our second century! Throughout the years we have built meaningful partnerships and would not be where we are today without partners like you. Over the last year, we have been touring the Bay Area learning from our partners who are experts in guaranteed basic income, foundation giving research, and are passionate as we are about breaking the cycle of poverty.
We know that safe and affordable housing is inextricably linked with economic opportunity. This event will feature a panel of experts with lived experience facing housing, transportation, and employment challenges in the East Bay.
After the panel conversation with community members, we will hear from policymakers and community leaders about current and proposed solutions to these challenges in Contra Costa County.
We encourage any community member interested in hearing about challenges and solutions to affordable housing and economic opportunity to join us. All participants will be invited to connect with each other, share bright spots, be inspired, and learn how to take action for a thriving Bay Area.
