We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2019 than by bringing our generous community together for the holidays in support of hundreds of Bay Area families in need.
Together with our nonprofit and corporate partners and volunteers, we successfully hosted our annual holiday toy drive and two events where we packaged and distributed basic needs supplies.
We’d like to thank our partners at Union City Family Center and Oakland Raiders player, Johnathan Abram for teaming up with us to host our annual Winter Wonderland toy drive for Union City families in need. Together we enjoyed a catered dinner, music, holiday activities, and wish-list toys to over 60 families.
We were also thrilled to partner with our nonprofit partners, Feed the Children and Union City Family Center to package and distribute boxes of food, toiletries and basic wellness items to over 400 families in need.
And finally, with the support of volunteers from Merrill Lynch, we packaged 500 bags filled with hygiene products, snacks and other items that were donated to struggling Bay Area families.
Each event reminded us of the will of our community to show up and help those neighbors who are facing challenges. May we all support our neighbors in need as we continue to engage our community to give, advocate and volunteer in 2020!
