For many of our Bay Area families already living paycheck to paycheck, the start of the school year brings financial pressures many of us never have to consider. When an unexpected expense, like a car repair, is added in, our neighbors can quickly find there simply isn’t enough money to cover it all.

It has alleviated a lot of survival stress for me to get back on my feet. I have a long way to go but I don’t know what things would have been like if I didn’t receive this.
