UWBA Corporate Partner, BayBridge Capital Group uses their Give Back and Client Appreciation Event to give back to Bay Area communities.

Giving takes shape in many forms, particularly when it comes to BayBridge Capital Group’s partnership with United Way Bay Area where giving came in the form of a whale, toys and even a stress ball. During their Give Back and Client Appreciation Event, BayBridge Capital Group graciously sponsored three different activities that gave holiday cheer to United Way Bay Area community partners during the past holiday season.

Rachel Batstone, who works in Client Experience at BayBridge Capital Group has found that “partnering with United Way Bay Area provides us with a unique opportunity to work with an organization focused on the most effective way to make a powerful impact within our immediate communities. We were able to connect with organizations and charity partners already in alliance with UWBA, so we felt confident that our efforts, time, and donations would be well utilized and appreciated”.

Through the gift of art, BayBridge Capital Group was able to transform three community spaces to bring inspiration and cheer. United Way Bay Area partnered with San Francisco-based muralist and designer Tomas Talamantes, to paint a set of decorative murals. BBCG sponsored the paintings and even opened the invitation to its clients to assist in creating the murals. Through a mural painting activity, volunteers helped to create the 3 murals which included a Whale mural to benefit Fremont Family Resource Center, a Horse mural for Oakland Behavior Health Clinic and an America the Beautiful mural for California School-Based Health Alliance.

BayBridge Capital Group’s generosity continued with the giving of holiday meals and presents for 30 Bay Area youth through UWBA’s Winter Wonderland. Gifts included items on the youth’s wish lists from electronics, clothing, books, toys, to school supplies. The youth were part of the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation’s community. A long-time partner organization of UWBA, EBALDC is a nonprofit community development organization with over 45 years of experience in building healthy, vibrant, and safe neighborhoods in Oakland.

Closing out the season of giving, BBCG funded and assembled appreciation gifts for front-line works at Roots Community Health Center. A federally qualified health clinic (FQHCs), Roots provides basic healthcare services to low-income Bay Area Residents. Appreciation gift baskets were filled with crossword puzzles, stress balls, hot chocolate, snacks and water bottles, items aimed to give some much-needed cheer and reprieve. BBCG’s employees and clients worked together to assemble these gift baskets which were then delivered to the hard-working healthcare providers at Roots.

Not only did BayBridge Capital Group graciously give to members of the Bay Area community, but the sponsorship of the season’s giving was an opportunity for them to give back to their clients. “We host a Client Appreciation and several other client events throughout the year; however, our annual Gives Back event has quickly become the favorite, and one that both our clients and our team look forward to most. The opportunity to work with our clients to make a positive difference in the lives of others provides us all with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and unification” says Rachel. By incorporating their clients in these activities they truly exemplified the company’s ethos, which is to act in a client’s best interest, and in this case includes providing them opportunities to give back.
