Volunteering in the Time of COVID-19
July 7, 2020
Volunteers are a critical part of United Way Bay Area’s mission to help break the cycle of poverty in the Bay Area. COVID-19 is affecting us all and we’re committed to providing volunteer opportunities for those who want to connect with our mission and serve those who need help most right now.
During this time of unprecedented challenge and need, we have shifted many of our volunteer opportunities from in-person to virtual. Through our online Volunteer Portal powered by HandsOn Connect and supported by Salesforce, we are providing a number of virtual volunteer opportunities from helping young people with resumes and mock interviews to spreading the word about the 2020 Census and more.
The pandemic has created a sense of urgency for us all to unite in service. We’re rallying our community to get involved by volunteering or donating today. Check out and sign up for our volunteer opportunities here. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups.
