UWBA stands with #BlackLivesMatter
June 4, 2020
United Way Bay Area stands in solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter in the struggle to end systemic racism, poverty, injustice and police brutality. We are deeply saddened by the recent killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many other people of color. We recognize the long, tragic history of bigotry and prejudice in America, and remain committed to acting as a catalyst for social change by inspiring people to invest in each other in ways that strengthen and transform our communities. It takes all of us: individuals, leaders, government, business, donors and nonprofit partners to speak up, educate ourselves, create awareness and use our platforms to put actions into words. #LiveUnited
