Support Local Families This Holiday Season
November 3, 2020
Winter Wonderland is United Way Bay Area’s annual holiday celebration and is typically a night filled with music, dinner, gift-giving, and other fun activities. We bring together over 80 Bay Area families and 100 youth and provide them with gifts from their Wish and Need Lists.
Due to the current circumstances, Winter Wonderland 2020 will happen remotely. Considering the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we foresee an increase in family needs this year.
Please help us provide each youth with $100 worth of gifts and a basket of food for their family’s holiday celebration. We are partnering with SparkPoint Napa, SparkPoint Solano, Family Supportive Housing, and Union City Family Center to make this year’s holiday brighter for those who need it.
Here is how you can support youth and families in-need during this holiday season:
- Sponsor a youth using our Roonga webpage. Adoption Sponsor Registration opens November 7th and ends November 27th.
- View family profiles and select the local family you would like to support from our 40 Registered Families.
- Gifts should be dropped off or mailed by or on December 1st so we have time for our volunteers to wrap the gifts. If you purchase your gifts after December 1st, we ask that you wrap the gift.
- Shop for your families at your convenience and mail all packages to 550 Kearny St., Suite 1000, San Francisco, CA 94108. United Way Bay Area will help coordinate your package deliveries and arrange the in-person distribution to families.
