Guaranteed Basic Income in the Bay Area: May 13 Policy & Community Convening

Join United Way Bay Area on April 23, 2026, for a free virtual convening exploring the impact and future of Guaranteed Basic Income (GBI) programs in the Bay Area. Guaranteed income—unconditional cash payments provided regularly to individuals—has emerged as an effective, flexible solution for improving financial stability, housing security, and overall wellbeing. This event will highlight results from local GBI pilot programs, feature a panel of community leaders and elected officials, and examine how these initiatives can scale into sustainable policies. Attendees will gain insights into how direct cash investments help families move out of poverty and will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion about advancing economic equity across our region.
