This election, like no other in recent history, caused tremendous anxiety in the Bay Area and across the country. The work to end systemic racism, poverty, and injustice is more urgent and needed now than ever before. Bridging divides and bringing our communities together to solve our most pressing problems is at the core of what we do at United Way Bay Area. We’ve been responding to local needs for more than 98 years. We will always be non-partisan, but we will not shy away from policy—and advocacy—to better people’s lives. United Way Bay Area is going to keep doing what we do best – showing up for the community, inspiring one another and our neighbors to invest in one another, and bringing people together.
