Emerging Leaders Group Fulfills Wish Lists for Struggling Families
United Way Bay Area’s Emerging Leaders group channeled Santa’s little helpers and hosted the annual Winter Wonderland event in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, bringing together local families for an evening of music, food and gift-giving for those who did not have the means to buy their family’s gifts.
With help from our nonprofit partner, Black to the Future, over 50 holiday wish lists from over 20 families went fulfilled. We also could not have pulled this off without the support from Starbucks and our Emerging Leaders President and Board Member, Daniel Lee who brought his team together to help organize this special event.
Emerging Leaders is a growing network of philanthropic young professionals (age 40 and under) committed to fighting Bay Area poverty, with a focus on educating and empowering youth.
